The Wagin Trotting Club has advertised a great seven event program tomorrow night and a number of South West trainers have supported them.

The feature event is the $4,500 2008 Darkan Cup, a mobile barrier start event over 2590m.

Allanson trainer Kath Melbourne is likely to start Operationbarbarosa in a minor event and the four year old is overdue to win his first race.

Leo Wallrodt nominated Leorleans for the three year old event and is hoping for a better run this week.

Bokal trainer Tracey Reed is likely to start her three year old filly I Nowhere Im Going who has recorded two wins, four places this season and the Darkan Cup appeals as a suitable race for Johnny Appleseed.

The six year old had his fourth WA start for Reed at Wagin on May 2 when a 7m fourth in the feature race that was run in track record time.

Errol Ashcroft has been unable to start any of his horses for nearly a month due to a virus sweeping through the stables although most team members are again in work.

The locally owned Courageous Ned ran third to Secret Interlude in the $8000 feature race for three year olds at Kellerberrin last Sunday.
