COLLIE started the game against Busselton in fantastic form to gain a five-goal lead halfway through the first quarter.

Ashlee Crabbe shot well in attack while Chelsea Slater and Ellena Clazie worked hard at shutting down the Busselton shooters.

Good defence and pressure from the Magpies forced Collie to make basic errors which proved to be the difference between the sides.

Collie had chances in the quarter after some good defence but could not convert goals.

Carly O’Brien moved into goal attack and Steph Clazie came out onto the wing.

The girls settled into their positions with O’Brien providing extra movement.

The Collie Eagles came within five goals of the Magpies but in the end Collie made too many skill errors and Busselton were able to capitalise on this.

Collie never gave up and managed to prevent the opposition from running right away with the game.

Chelsea Slater and Ellena Clazie worked hard in defence all game.

Busselton won the game by 10 goals, 50-40.

Best players: Chelsea Slater, Ellena Clazie, Carly O’Brien

This weekend’s game will be against South Bunbury from noon at Roche Park.
